I think using a standard toolbar is a great idea.

The standard toolbar is great for customization.

I for one would certainly get rid of the Search Box if I could. (not to mention add a Stop button XD )

Some feedback:

-IMO, a Volume knob is neat as an imitation of a real life counterpart, but in terms of usability, it's one of the worse choices for an app control. Making your hand go left/right or up/down in a precise manner is relatively easy; making it go clockwise/counterclockwise in a precise manner... not so much.

Personally, I think a good ole' Volume slider would be best.

-I also hope the seeker bar will look more like the current one.

-Otherwise, looks great. ('cept for the placeholder icons, of course ;p ) This looks promising.

As we all know, in Leopard, most apps will adopt a "unified titlebar/toolbar."

Might be a good idea to do the same with Cog, so that it doesn't look out of place in Leopard.

While I do know that Cog doesn't have a "real toolbar," the idea is basically the same: have the upper area (everything above the playlist's "sort by" bar) be a "drag to move window" area and no line under the titlebar.

Yeah, it has since my previous post. o_O

Yeah, seems to be fixed.

2 branches?

What are the differences between the two?

Thing is, gotta remember, Cog is an "international app" now. ;p

With the other formats, having, say, "MP3" or "OGG" on the icon works because those are the actual name of the format, in every language.

But "VG" will only make sense in English. In other languages... not so much.

That's why I think a symbol/icon would work best in this case. Imagine a Pac-Man or a Tetris block. That's a "universal" symbol for games.

And I think Pac-Man and Tetris blocks are recognizable even at 32 px. ;p

Still, sometimes, it'd be nice to at least be able to see what has changed or what has been added in the past 3-4 builds.

Multi-track files formats: NSF, GBS, etc.

I think it's a bit more natural if tracks start with 1, not 0.

The average user doesn't think "0 1 2 3" ;p

For #1:
What do you mean exactly by "remove a playlist"? As in delete it?

r587

Seems to be fixed.

However, it seemed to have brought back the "load same file multiple times when dropping a folder" bug, once again only with the new formats.

sad

If an M3U has a certain file listed twice or more times, when loading the M3U, it won't add that file to Cog after the 1st time.

And of course, this also affects "Default.m3u" so at startup, any duplicate file will be removed.

Yeah, it doesn't load twice now... smile

...although I've found another playlist-related issue. sad

This may or may not have to do with the VG music formats.

I don't have access to the Mac until later, so I'll post it tomorrow.

^ I'd second that.
