Seeking does not work, if triggered from last few seconds of file.

How to repeat: play a file (tested on wav, ape and flac) to the very end (or seek there - just a couple of seconds before end) and then use slider to seek to any place in file - slider will go, decoders and playback won't
Affected versions: 0.07, svn head (may be others)

It seems to me that there's smth gets destroyed when last chunk of file is filled into buffer

I've just send Vincent a patch which brings following behavior:
On opening from finder/droping on icon
  Default - as in settings
Option = alter both clear and autoplay
  Shift = alter clear
  Option+Shift = alter autoplay

Dropping on playlist:
Default - no clear and no autoplay
  Option  - clear and autoplay
  Shift - clear
  Option+Shift - autoplay

A bit strange, but actually user usually wants to just add to playlist or immediately listen  to file, so this should be altered with less effort aka one key

(just not to leave a question unanswered)
If I understood you right you wanted to play music off the NAS.
Doesn't qnap have a smb(netbios, windows file sharing)-server? If it does then if can be easily mounted as a usual volume as if it were a local storage (use finder's menu item 'Go->Connect to server'). The same with AFS(appletalk file server). A little more effort is needed if it is only ftp/ssh - then you gonna need MacFuse and appropriate fs driver

PS. i store most of my music collection on a DIY linux-based storage server with afs support

Dropping on dock icon cannot be overtaken in current mac os without hacking (i.e. transparent window over it, low-level nasty business etc.) sad
But modifier keys probably can be captured via CGEvent

It would be great to have such an option (on some 'advanced' tab)
This also applies to cuesheet reader, currently encoding is hard-coded there.

i think that it's better to have option - to choose limit to be 100/400/smth else%, actually dumb raising of signal level (if track is normalised to 0 dBfs and has comressed dynamic range) brings a LOT of audible distortions into signal due to its clipping

i think a good type will be "Data source plugin" - data readers, i.e. http source, icecast source etc.
i think a one little thing in ideology should be changed - now plugin itself opens file and feeds output with decoded data, but more universal way is asking the decoder to decode some more data (without having it knowing anything about output, effects or whether file is on the moon and in rar archive actually smile )
also events for decoder to raise are needed - for example, metadata change...

Good news!
I do use it %)

Simpliest ideas from scratch - actions for audio files, "add to playlist", "add to playlist and play", "play", etc.

also in this direction good features are "Fade out and stop", "Fade out and next track" (of course, can be emulated by messing with volume every time, but much better to have computer to do it)

bitrate is not constant in many formats,
also it is not supported by most cog plugins plus it cannot be quickly enough retrieved (according to cog current architecture) to be updated when changed - etc.
in few words - too much to change for a small feature
