Hi

Actually I think this is a point where os x is weaker than windows. Back when I used winxp my context menu would have all sorts of shortcuts.

I don't know if this is because developers just don't implement context menu shortcuts, or because it is hard to do. I did a brief search on Google and found a post where someone complained that he couldn't right click a folder and have the contained images viewed as slideshow.

I can right click my folders and have them scanned for viruses with clamxav or toasted with... toast.

Cheers

Remember to pay respect to the guys from Seashore. I am kind of getting into the whole translatiing open source thing.

Guess that's all I can do, when my programming skills amount to... zero (well .01, I tried my share of qbasic back in the days)

Hey guys

I really like open source, it has become a pet project of mine to use as much as possible. But i mostly use cog for listening to audiobooks.

My music is at iTunes (sorry, I know) because:
1. I have an iPod.
2. figuring that all my digitized music playing go through a jack (?) plug through pretty sad headphones to my ears, I really dont need Flac.
3. I have become addicted to coverflow in iTunes (not in Leopard).

But Cog reminds me so much of Winamp and the good old days when my tracks had names like Nirvana_-_smells_like_teen_spirit_-_come_as_you_are.mp3.

Hey Everybody

My two cents on the new bug/feature-tacker. I think it must be a great tool for vspader (or any other who might contribute) to keep track of all the bugs.

About the forum vs. trac discussion. I think they both serve a purpose. The forum is an easy way to let vspader and ordinary users know about a bug, it can be discussed and then sent over to Trac. Someone said that Trac might confuse new users, and I agree. I have decided not to report bugs, when I faced an unknown reporting system. So let people post to the forum and then we can guide the poster to trac or do it for him/her.

And final note for vspader. When you get the time you should update the bugreportingsticky to the new trac guidelines (and the link links back to sbooth.org).

Cheers

Hey

Cool, nice to know the story behind yours and sbooth's similar website design. And the stats would be fun, but hey you keep focus on the roadmap. The rest is just glazing for lazy people like me with nothing to do, but hang around other people's project.

Thanks again.

Update:
More than 140.000 downloads from sourceforge. That is pretty impressive I think. And if you look at the graph for all time donloads it looks like there have been two boost in popularity at 05-2006 and 07-2007. Probably new versions coming out. But the boost seems to stay and the everyday dl's are higher (after each update?). Maybe we can conclude that a better app leads to more users, since people updating tell their friends that Cog has improved.

Update update:
Something weird happens to the Project Web Traffic around 04-2007, it suddenly drops radically to basically nothing. Some kind of error? Is it important? Is it because you changed your web address?

Final update I promise

Hey vSpader, Remain and the all you people suggesting features and bugs

I think you are doing a really good job with this app. It works like a charm, you are open to suggestions and cog is improving every day... Almost.

Your music child is growing, and I think it could be interesting to know how many downloads you have. The actual number of users is obviously everyone's guess. But anyhow some stats would be fun. It would also be interesting to know some more about you as a developer, how many devs contribute to Cog, and then the one thing I wondered about the other day, what is your affiliation to Play, Max and Tag (or sBooth, I guess)?.

Thanks for a great and growing app.

Cheers

ps. Thanks for the heads up on the Audion story, really interesting

Sounds cool.

Just read the leopard-only? thread. I look forward to upgrading... and to cog joining the leopard-world. I think there was word about the toolbarthing there also... Dev-language is beyond me.

Hey all

I think it would be great if cog was like finder (and iTunes) where you can grab the window to move it in a wider space than just the title line.

Dunno jack about programming, so if its a bad idea or just plain impossible just ignore it.

Hey Spader

I think I am done translating cog into danish (finally, but it looks like I started a torrent of translations)

I say think, because I haven't done a thing like this before. I have edited all the files, but I can't seem to change the name for the URL-window? dunno how.

When I am all done I put all the files in a new folder called Danish.lproj ??

Yeah I just saw the post just below mine.

It works.

Thx and shame on me for not reading the forum... I could have sworn (?) that the crash coincided with my removing peerguardian.

Actually I did mean the email address. It shouldn't be that difficult to remove the brackets and fill in the @ and.'s. I even found the email on Vspaders personal website, but it was he same and still didn't work.

Hey

I justed shifted to mac from PC, I always used winamp and cog is both an excellent replacement and a great player project.

Only I miss pressing <j> to search. I found the apple-f, but I think a one key shortcut is great.
