Re: *Cog Users, Sign Here*

Holy crap I need to add that smily to the forums. cool

Re: *Cog Users, Sign Here*

Well yes same here, it's my main OS X audio player too.

Re: *Cog Users, Sign Here*

Re: *Cog Users, Sign Here*

Since 0.06 i use cog almost 100% for audio. Cog have made a good development. Some features more to be perfect smile 0.07 will be a good milestone. Thanx

Re: *Cog Users, Sign Here*

I love Cog.
I switched my entire library to flac once I saw the light.
I had been using iTunes before but was suffering. The application certainly was not lightweight in any means. I used to be a foobar2000 user (on Windows).
Cog is perfect for me + it plays all the lossless formats I could ever want big_smile

Re: *Cog Users, Sign Here*

Present!

Re: *Cog Users, Sign Here*

Heheh... came here because I had the crash on startup problem - solved as advised, problem was probably inside the application support/cog folder. Had to register just to say that I have been a cog user from the earliest times and love it's support of all the lossless formats and more! smile

Thanks for a great player! cool

Re: *Cog Users, Sign Here*

Hi all, just wanted to make my presence known.

It's nice to see the current "unstable" build work smoothly in Leopard. cool

Re: *Cog Users, Sign Here*

Good to know that things are working in 10.5! smile I've been meaning to get the developer preview but the price tag is a little steep for me at the moment. Luckily, it wont be long until it's retail-priced.

Re: *Cog Users, Sign Here*

cool hey vince, I haven't seen you in a long ass time.  I was just thinking I should check and see if there is a new version of cog and lo-and-behold you spring this serious new version on me.  badass brother!  how's pixel :-)  I'm loving the new version, I'm currently a 50% cog user.  but with the new features I'll see what happens with the percentage.

keep on awesomizing,

Re: *Cog Users, Sign Here*

I'm a MusicPD user, but:
- when my server is down
- I want to listen through my headphones
- I have a local file (voicemail) I want to hear
I use (and love) Cog.

I might add that my server is down about 2 months each year, so I use Cog a lot wink.

Re: *Cog Users, Sign Here*

I use Cog now.

I used to use Songbird and then they updated to .3 add dropped Last.fm support . . . so I now use Cog.

My OS X media player use:
Cog > Songbird > Cog.

Re: *Cog Users, Sign Here*

Hi, I'm a new Cog user as well longing for a media player like winamp of old.  Currently, I only use the beta version of Cog to play VG music (only SPC files right now) - this is the only decent media player I could find which works on Leopard and plays the SPC format correctly.  If it starts supporting PSF/PSF2, I will become a committed follower for sure! smile

Re: *Cog Users, Sign Here*

Just wanted to drop by and say (again) how much I love Cog!

Unfortunately, I still need to use iTunes for music sharing between the computer that's hooked to the stereo and the computer that has all my music, but once I get Airport Express I'll be using Airfoil to send Cog audio to my stereo and won't need iTunes for anything.

Keep up the great work!

Re: *Cog Users, Sign Here*

Cog user here - keep going back between Play, Cog, iTunes and running foobar2000 in VMware Fusion. I'm used to foobar2000 in Windows (which is really nice software).

Cog seems to work best for me - so I'm gonna use that for now.

Just wish there was seperate playlists like in foobar2000 (so I can keep my music seperated instead of all in one huge library). And I have my music in different locations as well so I'll have to figure out around that.

Re: *Cog Users, Sign Here*

Hey guys

I really like open source, it has become a pet project of mine to use as much as possible. But i mostly use cog for listening to audiobooks.

My music is at iTunes (sorry, I know) because:
1. I have an iPod.
2. figuring that all my digitized music playing go through a jack (?) plug through pretty sad headphones to my ears, I really dont need Flac.
3. I have become addicted to coverflow in iTunes (not in Leopard).

But Cog reminds me so much of Winamp and the good old days when my tracks had names like Nirvana_-_smells_like_teen_spirit_-_come_as_you_are.mp3.

Cheers
