Ah Ok.That makes sense!
If you don't want to uninstall it, you can tell Growl to disable the notifications from Cog. I don't have my mac in front of me, so I can't tell you how smile (If anyone else out there wants to walk through it, feel free, I won't be able to until tonight).

You simply add files to the playlist (By dragging them in from the Finder, for example), and click the play button to begin playback. If you want to go to the next song, you hit the next button. If you want to play a specific song from the playlist, you can double click on it.

I'm not entirely sure of what's going wrong though. If you want to go into more detail, I may be able to help more.

It plays them both at the same time? What version of Cog are you using? What version of OS X? Any special audio devices?

Cog should convert the samplerate to whatever your output device default is set to. You can change it in the Audio/MIDI setup system preference, I believe.

Could you post a crash log?

Glad it's been fixed! I'm curious what preferences were set that caused this. I'll move this to resolved bugs.

If that doesn't work, could you give details of the type of file it was (Flac, mp3, samplerate, bits per sample, etc). Also, a crash log would help too!
Thanks!

This has been discussed and will likely make its way into Cog at some point in the future.

It's part of the 0.07 feature list. It's been requested many many times. smile

I've looked into this, and started the fix. It may be a while, because it's quite a fix, though. smile

foobar2000 is not open source.

Remote control meaning what? You should be able to use your Apple Remote.

The visual indicator is something that I think would be a good idea, but there is already a "sticky" point around the 100% mark.

Interesting.

Yeah, it will be a post-0.07 thing, but it is something to keep in mind.

I never understood why they didn't just use an apple. "Apple+R to refresh", that type of thing. Not to mention, it's more places where they can stick their logo.

big_smile I guess it's possible it could be labelled better. Global Hotkeys perhaps?

I'm still mourning the loss of the apple key. hmm

The media keys are perfect for global hotkeys. It's just that Apple doesn't seem to want you to. I have a Logitech multimedia keyboard of some kind that has keys for play/pause/stop and all that, but there is not a good way of capturing them to put them to Cog's uses (They inevitably just open iTunes).

I'm pretty sure this was emailed to me and I responded, but anyways:

1) (To Fuga) Symlinks are kind of a hack, but it is a good workaround for the time-being. I'm fine with supporting multiple locations for the file drawer. Maybe a preference like "Include mounted volumes" would do the trick. It's not a 0.07 thing, but it is something.
2) Would be an effects thing for whenever effects get added.
3) I don't like blatant copying of iTunes interface, so it's not likely.
4) No problem. It would probably be post-0.07 because I'm holding off on changing the UI for the time being.
5) Might be an advanced setting. I don't understand why people want smaller fonts. I'm going to end up making a Cog-Micro edition with 1pt fonts and people wouldn't be satisfied.

Bounties don't really make me any more motivated, to be honest (Unless we're talking a MUCH larger amount than the usual Cog donation wink). Feel free to drop a couple of dollars in if you like something, but offering money isn't really going to motivate me to do something I wouldn't have done in the first place.
