Topic: hotkeys "stick" when cog not in focus

hi,
sorry to make my first post a bug report as such, but:
i just discovered that the hotkeys for controlling cog "stick" when cog is not in focus.
for example, safari has as page reload cmd-r, i also had cog previous set to cmd-r. when safari was in focus, and cog was playing, i tried to cmd-r to refresh a page, and the previous track in cog started playing. also happened for cmd-n (new page in safari, next song in cog). the thing is the hotkeys for other applications stop wrking as cog steals it. for example, with cog playing, cmd-r/cmd-n no longer work in safari.

my system specs:
os x 10.4.8
g4 quicksilver dp-800MHz

thanks again, i really think cog holds promise.

Same problem here man. I use arrow left/right on the powerbook for previous/next tracks respectively. Sadly Cog won't accept the space bar for play/pause like pro audio apps use. But anyways yeah when im in OmniWeb the key strokes change tracks in Cog when its hidden hahaha funny stuff ;-)

big_smile I guess it's possible it could be labelled better. Global Hotkeys perhaps?

Re: hotkeys "stick" when cog not in focus

Maybe there should be some actual text saying "these keys work in all apps" or something like that above the boxes that you use to select the keys.

But then, that would mean having to translate that string into 6 languages, which I'm guessing you want to avoid. hmm

Yeah, it will be a post-0.07 thing, but it is something to keep in mind.
