Check your permissions using disk utility.

Cog does the standard Cocoa thing for saving preferences, so there should be a file ~/Library/Preferences/org.cogx.cog.plist (or com.vspader.cog.plist). Also, the playlist is saved to ~/Library/Application Support/Cog/default.m3u.

I don't know. Cog uses CoreAudio to convert the data. Presumably, CoreAudio won't do any upsampling if the source/dest sample rates match.

Yes, that is the case. I've been meaning to fix this for a while. (Note to self: the remove may be undone).

You can just use the scroll wheel over the button.

Yep, the metadata display is not working quite yet.

Yes, the UI is there but there's no logic for it yet.

Are you sure? Is the entry marked with an error?

No, it's very rudimentary. It currently only works with embedded id3v2.

I added a version check key so it'll bring up an alert instead of crashing on <=10.4.

It's not likely.

The nightly requires at least Leopard.

Probably not. Can you give me the URL?

Doh, the nightlies are busted and weren't building. Try r1919 or later.

What would be the difference between streams changed and new songs played? streams changed is a catch-all for anytime a song is started.

Gapless playback requires a LAME header on the mp3. Otherwise Cog cannot know what parts of the mp3 it's supposed to ignore.

Try the nightly.

Disabling gapless wouldn't fix any stuttering issues. It's hard to say what's happening. Are the files on a network drive?

Recoverable error just means Cog hit an id3 tag or something else it doesn't understand and it's skipping it.

Or you could just go to Window->Cog while in mini mode wink

It was not in the "official" 0.07 release, just the little unstable update. I dunno if I want to do a release. It takes a huge chunk of time/effort away that could be better spent improving it.

Interesting idea. It would be nice to have multiple views for the file tree, but I'm not a fan of putting the album art there. What would happen if you closed the file tree? I think it's spot in the inspector is a better fit.

I haven't touched this stuff in a while. Hrm. I guess I need to dig up some cuesheet files.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the giant ? either. I'm not sure what a good solution is. The window resizing? With nothing, there would be this giant blank space, which is weird too.

Just the artists column? Could you show a screenshot? Are you sure the files are in the same place? It sounds like Cog may not be finding the files.
