Re: 0.08 Nightly
Nice, too bad that the Ctrl+(Left|Right) hotkeys conflict with Spaces.
Also, Cog starts using 100% CPU when I'm playing an Icecast/Shoutcast stream. This didn't happen before, even on 0.08, IIRC.

Any chance the Shuffle and Repeat buttons get fixed anytime soon?
(so that they, well, you know, actually do something? ;p )
Repeat buttons should be working for the most part. I'm not sure about Repeat Album.
By the way, graphics are needed for all these toolbar buttons. I've just been quickly throwing them together, and I'm not much of an artist, so the results are not that great. If anyone wants to take a shot at it, feel free!
So I just fired up r801. When were y'all going to tell me about the separate Files window! (me having written re: file drawer on bottom or separate window)
Seriously: Works great. I have my long files window below the main window and am one happy Cogger.
And the Spotlight Panel is working fine here, too.
Much thanks.
I thought I mentioned it...somewhere....oh well! Glad you're enjoying it.
wow! we have a playlist queue, customizable toolbar, spotlight search panel, multiple repeat modes and finally... a stop button hot-key. i just wanted to say 0.08 is getting significantly more polished and functional with every build. cog seems destined to fill the void that players like whamb and audion once did.
Hi Guys
* new status column in r801 is working great
I have to agree to the others....the latest development in this project is just great. Thanks for your time spending to the development.
@Vincent or areff:
a) Regarding the images i could give it a try. I am far away from being a professional image-manipulator, but lets see. how about writing me the relevant informations in a PM and i'll see what i can do. Without warranty for sure.
Or is it listed somewhere in trac ?
b) regarding localization:
is there any plan to add additional languages ?
I could offer my native language (german) if you are interested in.
Greetings

I don't want to start localization until the UI is finalized. Otherwise, people have to constantly update their translations, and it ends up being a mess. I'll be making an announcement when the time is right.
I'll start a new forum topic regarding the graphics.
Would it be possible to have the File Tree window always be open? That is, perhaps a preference for users who want, upon starting Cog, to have the File Tree window open automatically.
I was planning on doing something like that. Not so much a preference, just open it if it was opened.
"just open it if it was opened." certainly seems to make the most sense.

remain: Thaks for the answer.
I hope that floating window/inspector will really improve quality and flexibility if there could be a docking/pin option for that window, to give user a possibility to clip the window with main application window. Then the window could be moving together with Cog main window. It will not bother a functionality mentioned by Fuga.
I am a developer too, I usually have 20 open windows at one time and one more small unconnected window is rather needless, that is why drawer was really good solution for me. I really hope that pin option for this window will be possible to do for you guys.
greetings.
I'm loathe to implement anything like that. The behaviour would be incredibly non-standard.
vspader: sorry, you have misunderstood me I guess... By dockin/pin floating window I just mean an addtitional option which allows the user to froze the window position in relation to main window, as a result, if user wants to move cog's main window, he will move the floating window too, but it stays in the same static relations (metrics) regarding the main window.
If this is impossible to do, you always can give to the user option which allow on do a selection between available list models -- the drawer or a floating window.
I perfectly understand what it is you want. It's not impossible. There just isn't a single other OS X app (that I know of) that does this.
It seems we're back to why not just have the option for whether the Files drawer being on the side or the bottom. As we know I love the bottom (not meaning to be kinky!). I'm not sure I "get" the GUI arguments of window v. drawer.
Other people might know better, but I think some post says that apple discourages drawers???
About the Search field: I think it should be made automatically resizable, or at least bigger (1.5x) than it is now.
