There is a bug with 0.07 and leopard. It has been fixed in the latest nightlies, but be warned that they are currently unstable. As a workaround with 0.07, you can delete the ~/Library/Preferences/org.cogx.cog.plist file and it should be working again.

Could you send me a file that's having these issues? vspader (at) users.sourceforge (dot) net

I think the only channel mapping Cog does is from mono to stereo...so basically it would play just the 1st two channels. I'll file a bug.

Email it to me: vspader (at) users.sourceforge.net

If you could upload it, that would be great. I'll take a look this weekend.

Ok, good to know!

For some definition of soon. Once the UI is stable (meaning unchanging, not just not crashing).

I've made the margins smaller, so the content width is about the same.

I've removed the broken localizations for now.

Cog should be able to read the tags.

Sorry, forgot about it. I'll make a trac ticket.
Update: Should be taken care of as r649.

There is no way to tag songs directly with Cog. What are you using to tag them? If you can send me a copy of a problem file, I can take a look.

Try pressing the show/hide toolbar button on the latest nightly.

Yes, exactly. However, Cog doesn't support loading metadata from playlists. Maybe in the future when things are flexible enough for that to be possible.

My thoughts were that it could be stored in the m3u playlist, but there needs to be some architecture changes to pull that out properly.

This isn't a bug, that's how its designed. I'll move it to a feature request, though I don't know if it will be acted on.

My feelings are that Cog is not a database player, so it generally will not be storing metadata about the files that are loaded.

Well, the plan was to have sparkle check for the minimum system version, but there was a bug in it which caused it to not check it properly, so there you have it. I figure people using the nightlies would just be aware, and putting a big 10.5 ONLY when the release version comes around will suffice.
