Re: cog's cache folder
Is Cog bugging out on you? If it's not then I wouldn't worry about the cache directories.
I'm not sure what's supposed to be normal but using the latest nightly I have two directories "07" and "11". Within "07" there's another directory named "07" which has a .cache file in it. The same goes for the "11" directory except that its subdirectory is named "01". When the app isn't running the entire contents of both sub-directories totals out to 8KB.
Re: cog's cache folder
thanks for the response sam and thankfully no, cog is not bugging out on me. i wonder though what is the purpose of the cache directory i am missing (07), anyone have a clue? furthermore what purpose does the one i am not missing (11) serve as well? in short, what sort of data do these directories cache?

Re: cog's cache folder
I actually have no idea what that is for! Some type of Cocoa or OS X magic, I bet.
Edit: On Leopard there is a single SQLite DB which contains caches for the appcast.

Re: cog's cache folder
ahhh. i noticed that when cog is open and playing a track folder 11's size shoots up to 20kb. when cog is closed it jumps down to 4. so 11's purpose is somewhat apparent now, i think. for the other one, i guess i will never know. anyway, thanks for all the input :]
