Topic: WMA support?
Was just amazed that one song didn't want to play in cog 0.08 r651, and it was WMA audio file.
Did do a forum search but no results so can it be possible in a next release?

To my surprise, I just Googled this and learned that VLC supports, and will play, standard WMA files. So I guess this is possible in principle, since there's already an open-source template for it.
VLC doesn't support any of the other kinds of WMA (WMA Pro, WMA Lossless, WMA voice), so I certainly don't see Cog supporting those sub-formats -- and, of course, the ones with DRM will never be playable in anything but Windows Media Player.

It's unlikely for the 0.08 release. This release is mostly focusing on UI changes.
Of course first things first... UI interfaces and maybe playlist support of some kind...
But as I understand WMA might be an option in the future for COG??? Videolan is kinda instable.... and a resource hogger...
One of the main reasons I left itunes was to find a program with WMA support... and VLC isn't really cutting it for me. I would love it if Cog had WMA support!
Actually WMA support is via plugin. Unless you have Flip4Mac you will not be able to play WMA via VLC.
