looks like they came with max. deleting them won't hurt anything, and you can always reinstall them from a downloaded copy of max if you find you want them in future.

Though they probably did, but wouldn't take chances.

I don't really use max for anything. I kind of like Play, but since friends don't know it, it is easier to use iTunes for party music.
