Topic: MacOSX Fatal Error on Cog's quit - Playing MP3 from a external USB HD
Hello guys,
This is my setup:
- iMac G5 PPC
- Mac Mini Intel Core Duo 2 1.83Ghz
- External 500GB HDD IDE using USB 2.0
How I work:
- I work in the iMac
- The external HDD is plugged using USB2.0 in my Mac Mini
- The Mac Mini and the iMac are both plugged to a 3com hub
- Both "speak to each other" perfectly
- From the iMac, and through the network, I write and read with no problem in the 500GB HDD (plugged on the Mini)
The bug:
- In the iMac I can perfectly load and play any MP3 or Playlists from the MacMini external HDD, but when I "COMMAND + QUIT" Cog, my iMac freezes and present that most deadly error of all time, the "official Apple" Mac OS X panic/error screen (the one with several languages).
- I was using the 0.07 r909 and I did update to 0.07 r911, but the bug persist.
- I tried SEVERAL times and it EVER happens.
- I tried the same on the Cog in the MacMini (r909) and it works perfectly. Looks like there is some kind of problem in the network transaction between my cog and the external MacMini HD.
