Topic: Apple Remote not working under Leopard

I'm using Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5) and my Apple Remote doesn't appear to be working with Cog. Actually, it doesn't work with any program anymore until i disable the 'Enable Remote Control' setting.

In the console i get this output when trying some keys on my Apple Remote while enabling 'Enable Remote Control'

Apart from that Cog works wonderful on Leopard.

It's broken in VLC too. Of course it still works in iTunes and Front Row though... mad silly Apple going all lock-down-happy.

Apparently the VLC folks have put out a pre-release in which the Remote works. Maybe it'll work in Cog with the latest libraries? (Unless I'm mistaken in thinking that Cog uses the VLC remote libs)

I'm not sure about the details, but I'm running Mac OS X 10.5 with the latest 0.06 build of Cog and the remote seems to work fine.  Just wanted to add another data point. smile

Yeah except that if, say, iTunes and Cog are both running then hitting play will activate them both.

I can confirm the remote works again with 0.07 under Leopard 10.5.1. Thanks for fixing this!

Only problem that indeed remains is that when 'Only listen to remote when Cog is active' is switched off the remote doesn't work anymore in iTunes. But well, why would you want iTunes when you've got Cog? smile
