Topic: Alphabetizing Artists and the word "The"

First post...

I love Cog and I love listening to FLAC.

I think it would be great if Cog ignored band names beginning with the word "The" and alphabetize to the next word. 

For example "The Beatles" appears in the T's.  Appearing in the B's makes more sense to me.  iTunes works this way and if I was alphabetizing a rack of CD's I would put "The Beatles" under B's and "The White Stripes" under W. 

Could be a preferences option as I am sure there are others who prefer and are use to how it works now.

Just rename artist name like this: "The Beatles" - "Beatles (the)", "The Offspring" - "Offspring (the)". Or just "Offspring" and all. I think it is not essentially

Good ideas so far - I might add that (however little or much I represent the user base) I feel at home with "The ..." artists sorted under T, since I'm coming in from using Rhythmbox. But it might be a smart thing to change. smile
