Topic: Using laptop audio buttons work, but also launches iTunes.

New user here...when Cog is the focused app I can use the F keys to control playback, pause, etc. and it works great. When the app is minimized the controls still work, but they launch iTunes each time I press one. Is there some setting, somewhere in Cog, or iTunes, that I can change to prevent this from happening?

Yep. It did. iTunes no longer loads when I use the laptop F buttons.
