Topic: A "Delete Others" function

Re: A "Delete Others" function

Or a "inverse selection" which is more commun in applications.

I think it is more natural to link actions to selected items.

Just my opinion smile

Re: A "Delete Others" function

"delete others" sounds like a good idea to me. and it's comparable to trim/crop type commands in audio/image/video editors (only keeps what you've selected), so it's a perfectly natural operation to me at least lol

also, it's only one action that needs to be performed, as opposed to the two of invert selection/delete, so i'd think it's preferable in that way.

Re: A "Delete Others" function

"Trim Playlist" sounds good.

Re: A "Delete Others" function

groovy cool

Re: A "Delete Others" function

I thought about "inverse selection" because it is a more common operation when we want to effectuate actions on selected items.
The other point is "remove others" can confuse people : others than what ?

Your analyse prooved that "inverse selection" will not be really useful, so maybe "Remove not selected" could be the best compromise smile

EDIT: time to write my message and people found the solution big_smile
