Amarok's alright but it's definitely got the iTunes-like maximalist aim. Quite the opposite of Cog in my mind at least.

yeah i've always heard good things about amarok, but it sounds like, like itunes, it's not what i'm looking for in a music player. i don't forsee it tempting me away from cog any time soon smile

Amarok is great. The library and iPod support are the two features that I'm most attracted to; iTunes wanting to erase iPods that haven't been sync'd to its library is ridiculous and reason enough to install Amarok.

I hope they re-think the 2.0 user interface, though. It's pretty fugly looking compared to the current version.
