Topic: DAAP/iTunes share support

Hello, I just downloaded and checked out Cog, and so far I am very impressed with what this little player can do. The one thing that it does not do that I would love to see, though, is support for DAAP, or iTunes sharing servers. I keep most of my mp3s on a NAS device that has a mt-daap (firefly) server installed on it, so I can stream my music to any computer in my house. Plus, when I take my macbook into the office, it's of course nice to be able to browse and listen to my coworkers' mp3s. If Cog could let me do this, it would be awesome smile

Thanks!

Re: DAAP/iTunes share support

What I would really like to see is a sort of daap/transcoding server, but I don't think Cog should do it.

Firefly has the problem that it transcodes to wav, so it's not streamable via Internet.
Something like firefly but with transcoding to aac at specified output bitrate would be wonderful: my internet connection has 200 kbps upload, but some are always used, so I could transcode to 128 kbps aac and listen from everywhere with iTunes.

Re: DAAP/iTunes share support

Just wanted to vote for daap-support. I keep all my music on a firefly-server, and would really like to be able to connect Cog to that.
