Sorry to inform you, but cog is presently not being develop. The original main developer don't have time, and whlie tje app is open source, no one has picked up from vspader.

I hope you enjoy what is here.

The original developer has left the project, so further development is minimal... if any

Try hitting the grey blob in the top left corner... :-)

Often deleting the preference files can fix problems.

To reproduce:

1. Start song
2. press file tree
3. space don't work any more

The developer is moving away from the drawer-style.

Now there is a filetree (in view-window-filetree) and a spotlightlight panel (in view-spotlight panel with a shortcut)

Hey

I don't know if it will work, but you could try to update to the latest nightly (0.08).

Go to the updates preference pane in cog and choose latest nightly.

Hey Tzadik

Delete the following preferences files in ~/Library/Preferences/
com.vspader.cog.plist
org.cogx.cog.plist

It might work.

Btw. What version are you using?

I really love the one with the cog in the cog... in post 57.

The idea of having current status in the icon is also appealing, though.

@remain: Props for using of the word neatness in a sentence.

Get rid of the og...

I wierdly like the rest. Another update, when not late and sober

I must admit, that I really likes iTunes way of doing this. I can skip around and I can change several at the same time. The latter is very important. Changing albm artist 15 times is really annoying.

And I am sure any help with the coding would be appreciated.

on trac.cogx.org there is a list of bugs and features waiting to be implemented.

It would be great if you could pitch in. Most of us on this forum can only throw in suggestions.

It is not something, that would be top priority for me. My suggestion would be to select the tags you want to show and take a screen shot. It is not the perfect solution for you, but it would do the trick

Fine with me... Total duration should always be there, though.

I like it.

And agree with remain on the volume thing!

What do you think of this one?

The space start/stop only works when the playlist is selected. If you click the menubar or the file list it doesn't work.

I think it should!

alha.........co.uk gives me a hard time. Wants me to make exceptions for stuff... Which I wont do for something I don't know about. Is my computer acting up?

Thinking about it it might work out...

If we go down this road, think carefully... before deciding the colour though. I would hat to have a blue line or a red one to disturb the eye. Another way to achieve this could be inverting the colours, have the currently playing song be in a black line and the text white. (Yes I know, it would probably be quite ugly.)

At the moment cog isn't the most customizable app in the world. Hopefully this will change. Then it will be great, people can do whatever they want.

Sounds interesting... I am always pro supporting open formats

Welcome aboard... (and don't get discouraged, if I didn't like your coloured currently playing idea)
