ah, that did it! i had the Status column open already, but i guess since i did the update, it didn't know where to put it so it was on the far right. i now moved it to the left side and there's now a little arrow next to the currently playing song.
might want to look into this not working for people who upgraded, because i'm sure there are others who this happens to.

seconded. Airfoil works wonderfully for this... and as far as I understand it, the whole streaming thing is done with ALE (Apple Lossless Encoding), even if playing MP3s over it, so the sound quality should be as lossless as your originals playing thru Cog.
before i go from Unstable to Nightly, just wondering if you've had time to fix that .SHN bug. thanks!

good call, i noticed that in there but didn't know what it was. now i remember, i install that many years ago to try to get a USB webcam to work with iChat (it never did). well, there's an uninstaller i just snagged off the web, so that may do it...
...trying now...
and the uninstaller didn't work. but, manually removing everything did! excellent, now doesn't crash. thanks! (and sorry!!)

i will note an even stranger thing: with a BLANK playlist, it still crashes when i try to quit! ideas??
