My initial reaction is - I don't like it. I fear it would get a bit festive... In a corny kind of way

Hey
Delete the following preferences files in ~/Library/Preferences/
com.vspader.cog.plist
org.cogx.cog.plist
It might work.

Cool, glad to hear everything is good.
Seriously, Cog must be quite a handful for a (mostly) one-man-team. I have been thinking of ways to get more people to work on it - especially the visual side of things. If you are interested you can get in touch via email.

I hate to say this... But if cog don't receive any attention it wont grow in popularity, and it wont evolve.
As I don't know anything about code I can't really contribute beyond ideas and tests and maybe some logistics.
Should we try to fork the project? So far it has mostly been a one man project, but we could establish a framework for developing the project? Try to get more developers to help, maybe do an effort getting a designer to help?
I don't want to 'steal' the project, but the whole idea in open source is that if a project is abandoned then others can take over.

Re: Jump, Queue and song caching (2 replies, posted in Features)
1) there is already a shortcut (apple+f)
2) there is a queue-function in 0.08. Don't know about short keys
3) I don't lmow the status. Don't use it myself
4) Artwork might come, there are some mock-ups in another thread

Yeah me too. Either something personal happened, that he don't care to involve us in. Fair enough.
Or he simply lost interest in Cog... Technically I guess anyone could move on with the project (fork it).
I must admit I don't follow the forum regularly, as it is a bit boring, when there are no development.

If you look around I think other people had similar problems...

My bad, now Wagner stops playing, when I press space... Or rather the guys playing Wagner stops playing, when I hit space... I don't know what happened.

Hey
Didn't spacebar work as the play pause button once? And if yes why not anymore? If no, why not?
Enjoy life

Wow I didn't know there were others.
I think it is a good idea... especially when Cog reaches the pluggable huggable heaven that the future brings. For me it is not important at the moment

Good idea, I have been thinking it would be nice to have some sort of documentation.
It is still pretty simple and should be intuitive to most people, but it is good form and it might just help someone.

Re: Repeat One / Crop (1 replies, posted in Features)
I think there was some discussion about a cropping feature somewhere, try looking around. I can't remember what the result was.
I think there is repeat one song / one album / whole list-feature in 0.08. But maybe it is 'unavailable for maintenance'
AV, I miss my mac and an internetconnection at the same place.

Topic: Font size change [when too big or too small] (4 replies, posted in Bugs)
Hi
I am offline at home, and thus bored. So I played around with the fontsizes in Cog ver. 0.08.
They can become really big. Great.
They can become very small. Great.
They can become too small. - Wait, what nothing can be too small in a world where the iPhone is (way) smaller than my first pc. A thousand times faster and shows more colors in higher resolution.
Anyways, if you make the font very small, suddenly it goes pop and reverts to normal size, and is stuck there.
I consider this bug a blocker for final release :-)

Well.
I would prefer bold, but of course I understand the 'some fonts cant be bolded'-argument. Maybe we could have both and then people could remove the status column, if they don't care about it.

Do you have a working build with that setup? I would be interested to try it.

Hey Vasfed
I am out of internet at home, so I can try this. But if I update to your build, will Cog still upgrdae to the next official one? Or are yours like a 'branch'?

Hey
In the timeline, if you push the time at the end of the timeline to see, how much is left (-xx.xx) there isn't room for all four digits and the minus.
Don't remember seeing it posted previously.

Can't say I do. I usually loads up an audiobook and closes the window. I only touch Cog if I go to sleep og go out.

External harddrive should fix the problem. They are pretty cheap and you can fit a gazillion records on one. And then there will be no more risk of scratches
